Sheffield Design Week: 5-Day Print Challenge

Hi people

On Monday 23rd June 2014 we are launching the 5-Day Print Challenge. Earlier in the year, we were asked by Sheffield Design Week to come up with an something as part of the event.

We thought it might be fun to ask four printmakers who have taken part in our fairs to create a band-new piece of work in five days from a 'mystery' brief given to them! Then we thought it might be even more fun to get Sheffield Hallam Uni involved and get them to choose four current graphics/illustration students. The students will visit the professional artist / printmakers workshops / studios and get a good insight into how they work.

All work must be handed in at 10am on Friday 27th June.

So, the challenge is set.....exciting stuff!

The final prints will be displayed in a special Sheffield Design Week container at Sheffield Train Station on Saturday 28th/Sunday 29th June 2014.

We'll report back with the results on the blog and our facebook page (www.facebook.com/sheffieldprintfair).
